Whitten was recently appointed as the dean of the College and assumed her new position yesterday. “As Whitten assembles her new team, she has requested Jane Briggs-Bunting steps down,” Denbow said. No decisions have been finalized about a replacement for Briggs-Bunting. “Dean Whitten looks forward to working with Briggs-Bunting and all of the School of Journalism faculty to optimize an efficient transition,” Denbow said.
